I was stationed in Ft. Walton Beach in 1976 while in the Air Force. This is where I developed my love for photography. I spent the next three years traveling around the panhandle taking photos from Pensacola to Forella Alabama, to Destin Florida. Destin was one of the most beautiful beaches around. I would try and head to the beach at night after work to take sunsets. SLR Film cameras where the only thing available to shoot photos with. So it normally took a week to get the photos back to see if your settings were on track for the pictures you wanted to shoot. I was once told it's not the photos you take but the number of phots taken that helps you develop an eye for photography.
Over the past 30 to 40 years I have taken wedding photos, engagement photos, baby pictures, corporate headshots, landscapes, sunsets, and sunrises. My wife and I have traveled from Amsterdam to Istanbul, from Rome all around Italy. With this, I have learned many different ways to shoot photos and how to use available light instead of depending on flashes. With all this experience I have now started my own business for enjoyment and as retirement, business to keep me busy.
My experience started with a small Yashica 35mm film camera 40 years ago. After using this camera for a few years I switched over to a Canon AE-1 which was my to-go-to camera for 30 years until the digital age came about. With the new technology, I switched to the Canon EOS 5D Mark III and Canon EOS 5DSR. These are my cameras of choice because of the flexibility and the quality of photos produced.
I am experienced with many locations and photography styles. The photograph style may differ from assignment to assignment, but my commitment to quality and craft is unwavering.
